Sustainability at ROMEX
At ROMEX, being environmentally conscious is a core value that we use as a filter in every decision we make. From the materials we use to the way we produce our products, we are committed to minimizing our impact on the environment and promoting sustainable practices in the hardscape industry.
Minimizing Our Carbon Footprint
One of the ways we promote sustainability is by switching our manufacturing location to NorthAmerica as previously our products were shipped overseas from Germany. By sourcing our materials and manufacturing products locally, we reduce the carbon footprint associated with transportation and minimize our impact on the environment. This also allows us to support local economies and maintain jobs within our communities
Harnessing the Power of the Sun
Another way we promote sustainability is by using solar power to produce our ECO-FINE product. Solar energy is a clean, renewable source of power that reduces greenhouse gas emissions and helps to mitigate climate change. By harnessing the power of the sun to produce our products, we are reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and promoting a more sustainable future.
Building a Sustainable Future
At ROMEX, we are committed to promoting sustainable practices in the hardscape industry and to providing our customers with high-quality products that are long-lasting and have low environmental impact. Whether you are a homeowner, contractor, or landscape architect, you can trust ROMEX to help you build a better, more sustainable surface
PRODUCTS
ROMEX hardscapes are categorically stronger and longer lasting than any conventional alternative. Our products are designed to work with nature and not against it, meaning ROMEX hardscapes can last for decades, not just months. Additionally, our hardscapes can be quickly and easily maintained with a simple pressure wash, meaning there are no reoccurring maintenance or renovation costs which can quickly add up and cause significant inconvenience to users of the surface.
ROMEX products are produced at our global head office in Meckenheim, Germany as well as our North American production facility in Rhode Island in the United States. However, ROMEX North America ships only the high-tech resin binders from Germany, which are a small fraction of our installed solutions by weight; the sands and other aggregates which comprise the bulk of those solutions are sourced locally for each area – which minimizes our impacts from shipping.
