With steady upgrades to the paving surface of the strip in both vehicle and pedestrian areas, MGM and architects !melk have utilised Romex’s best in class jointing system to match their brand image and deliver a market leading paved surface for users to enjoy Vegas safely and uninterrupted.
MGM chose the D2000 Jointing mortar from ROMEX® after significant testing showed it was most capable of handling the high user traffic. It also met their strict maintenance requirements as the authorities carry out regular pressure washing to keep “The Strip” looking great and user friendly each day.

PROJECT SOLUTION
Time is money and nowhere more so than Las Vegas. The clients were intrigued not only by the durability of the ROMEX® – D2000 and its ability to withstand high pressure cleaning, but also the self levelling properties of the install which created a smooth surface for all visitors, including wheelchair users. By utilising the D2000, the clients were able to open surfaces to the public quickly, grout large areas much faster than with traditional cement grout which helped to achieve and exceed project timelines. MGM and those involved can be proud of this legacy paving project at the heart of a global tourist attraction.
